1st Lake Zurich cruise night tonight
As the title states, the new Lake Zurich cruise night starts tonight at the Kohls/Culvers on Rand Rd. (12) at the N. end of LZ on the west side of Rand Rd (12)
I may stop by and see what the fuss is all about....

Just returned home from Lake Zurich.
Was a really nice cruise night. Several muscle cars - some original and some with upgraded engines, brakes, etc.
Also some ricers. Very well maintained.
The "Old Man" with his daily driver pristine 87 Mercury 4dr. sedan was in attendance.
Met some really nice folks.
Met and spoke with BuggyNut several times. Really nice fella.
Weather turned bad so night broke up a little early. (Where the heck did this storm come from? If you don't believe in conspiracies, tonight would have converted you!)
Good turnout for the first one in a new location.
Will definitely be going back next week.
While driving home, I was not able to SAVE the WAVE!

I will For sure be making some of these this year...this only about 5 minutes from my parents house. Next Tuesday I have to be all the way in Pekin IL for work, then driving back in the afternoon, so depending on traffic I may or may not stop by.

Went to the LZ / Culvers cruise night last night. This has the potential to be a good show. The DJ was the best I have seen so far! He actually came over and asked if the music was too loud! He tried to keep involved, and was walking around and talking to everyone. Nice guy! Lot of foot traffic from Culvers. I will be taking Shaky Jake ( the 70 custom Bug ) to the show next week and see if we can stir up some excitement. The Auto writer / photographer from the Daily Hearld was there and he was doing a photo shoot on a 65 Vette that was an original survivor car. 4 Vettes in attendence, discounts on food, and I even won one of the raffles!

This Cruise Night is one of the best I have ever attended. PJ (organizer/promoter/DJ) is a really fine fella. Very personable (as kevakasper said earlier) and plays the music at a level where you can actually carry on conversations!
Weather was stunningly beautiful. Loads of room so do not hesitate bringing out your rides.
Had a nice contingency of 8 or 9 Vettes. Some very nice 70s and some very impressive import cars.
I am putting this Cruise Night on my weekly list.
While I was driving home to Chicago, I was busy SAVING the WAVE!
