C1 of Year Finalist (stock) 2019
2018 C1 of Year Finalist
I was very very very disappointed.
There was 25 - 30 Vettes - for "Chevy Vette Fest"
half of them were owned by a gentlemen in Indiana.
most of those had the hoods down
they were roped off by a yellow curtain around the cars and cars sat on the concrete
Def not a "special" display.
most walked on by and didnt give a care
They were placed in a side area - with "less than quality" cars.
I argree as above - like an afterthought.
Vettes with low riders and spinners and "donks with 28" rims" turned me off.
Back in the main area
The ISCA cars were extemely nice as they should be
The Riddler award winner, the Firebird, the carbon fiber C3 and Travis' candy red Vette were awesome !
My wifes fav was the Riv - the metal work alone was fantastic
So my question is - what is the big deal about Chevy Vette Fest
I was not impressed at all.
The rest of the show was good. Lots of drivers.
Will I go again.....I will have to see.

Drifting
I never made it to the show, but I guess I did'nt miss much. Our corvette club, North Shore Corvette Club, was always at vettefest with at least 20 cars. With the new combined show they would not give us a dedicated spot for the club. I think vettefest of past is done with and new owners really don't care. We will be at the fall show in Rosemont, and are more than welcomed by them. Bob Ashton runs the fall show and used to run vettefest until he was fired or let go two years ago. RIP vettefest.
