I understand that reservations are at a premium and that vendors are getting priority. I was contacted today by the Hampton Inn, Carol Stream. They are not participating in the "recommended" reservation suggested by Bloomingtion Gold. They are offering their rooms with no increase in the rates and are only a couple of miles away. Interested participants should consider contacting either Chuck or Natalie if you are looking for rooms at a reasonable rate that is close to the show. Suggest that you do so ASAP. 630-681-9200.

my house is 2min from that hotel and it is brand new. It is located on Rte 64 (North Ave) same as the show. Located 10min down the road from St. Charles.

At the same location is a Holiday Inn people can call.

Thanks for the info I just call and I set for that weekend. St Charles is about A hour 1/2 from my house so I had been looking for A hotel out that way.....

I was fortunate enough to confirm a reservation at the HGI but have never been to St Charles so do not know what to expect....any info on the Hilton would be appreciated, thanks! :cheers:

you got a perfect location, I believe that is the new hotel across the street from Pheasent Run. You can walk every day. But owning a vette who wants to walk.
St. Charles is a farwest suburb about 30miles from Chicago. Good bars and food also 2 casinos about 20min away(Elgin, Aurora)

Hey Zippy, you are in luck...the HGI is so close to the show that the tech seminars are being held there on Thursday... I think it is right across the street from Turkey Run, or whatever its called :lol:

I always thought that Bloomington Gold was held in, well, Bloomington. Which is about a 3 hr drive from me.

We have reservations at the Comfort Inn Geneva. They told me it was just a "few" miles to the show. Can any of the locals tell me if this is correct. Thanks, hawki P.S. Thier are casinos in the area? :cool:

Geneva is the town just south of St. Charles no more than 10 min to Pheasent Run. Casinos: Hollywood in Aurora and Grand Victoria in Elgin, IL

both are located on Rte 31 which runs along the west side of the Fox river, one is south(HW) and the other is north(GV) each about 20 min.

Comfort Inn is located 4.5 miles from Pheasant Run. It is just 1/2 block East of Kirk Road on Fabyan Parkway and it is brand new. There is a rest/lounge (Country House) at the NE corner of Fabyan and Kirk that makes a great hamburger(other food is good too). There is a golf course just West of Kirk on Fabyan - Settler's Hill (Golf on a garbage dump, :lol: ). The ride to the show is about 15 min. If anyone needs restaurant ideas, let me know and I'll send a list. I talked with the guy that's in charge of the Road Tour last night, Steve. Sounds like they are getting things together. I had a great time on the road tour in Bloomington last year. I think Steve will put together a great tour this year, as well. Looks like we'll be running West of St. Chuck thru the farmlands. Our club will be hosting a cruise-in car show in Geneva on Thurs 6/13 and another event on Sat night after the road tour. Hope to see you all at the Gold!
