MidAwest Freefest... should we have a big CF gathering???
I was wondering (not that this is a good thing 
) - since it seems a lot of Corvette owners will have an available weekend ... of... say... Sept 26-27..
should we have some sorta CorvetteForum regional GTG on that weekend?

That could be doable. Speaking of get together is there going to be a local monthly get together this coming Monday? I have not seen anything on the forum about it.

Looks like I'll have to miss this one Tim
I decided to go to the FunFest one more time this year and plunked down my $25.00 a couple weeks ago. I've been complaining all year about the charges ect., Have to go and see if its worth it one more time.

You could always combine the Chicago trip over to Galena with a gathering in Dubuque Iowa. I know there is a real nice parking ramp at the Diamond Jo Casino that the top two levels are never full and could see if its avaialble for use. Plenty of close hotels as well for people wanting to spend the night.
If this interest anyone I am willing to help set it up.

Deb, I am sooo glad to hear that. Many... many Corvette clubs in the GL region would never plan something that weekend; because of the FunFest. It's great to know there other alternatives
available.

Indy sounds like a good area to go to. We can go to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a tour and the Museum. My son was telling me about some go cart place in the area that is a blast.
