We'll my motor is toast so I might as well install something stout and would like to keep my business here in Michigan to help the economy.. I live in Northern Michigan so the closer, the better but will consider any reliable, reputable and affordable engine builder recommendations..
If there is someone on here that builds motors in Michigan, reply or send me a PM and I'll tell you what I'm looking for.
Where are you located? I have a bil that lives in the Traverse City area and he is into cars. I could find out who he recommends.
Traverse would actually be good because I'm just outside of Gaylord.. I did find a very reputable builder in Lapeer who can also arrange shipping to me.
I ended up ordering one from a builder in Lapeer who has a good repuation.. Ended up buying a 355 short block with forged rotating assembly (stock stroke and 9.5-1 comp.), Comp Cams Thumper cam and then using my exisitng new Edlebrocker Performer RPM aluminum heads (64cc, 2.02-1.96), Performer intake, Mallory HEI and holley 650.. Not looking for a ton of power but enough to sound healthy yet still be highway reliable too...
