Default We are building a track in Columbia City, IN...

(Cliff Notes - We are building a race track in Columbia City, IN and need to sell memberships to make it happen).

Hey All,
We are in the process of raising capital for a purpose-built autocross facility in Columbia City, IN. The goal is to break ground this fall and have it ready for the winter (and we will use it during the winter), with full activities starting around March 1st. Below is a list of the features along with some of the events we will be doing. We are selling memberships until July 31st at a discounted rate. We take credit cards and/or payments. Whatever will help you out the most.

Events:
- Corvette-friendly courses. Great flow to highlight the performance characteristics of the Corvette.
- Typical Autocrosses
- RPM Racing Leagues - Autocross leagues that meet once a week for eight (8) weeks. You use our vehicles.
- Ultimate Driver Contest - 100 drivers - one day - our similarly prepped cars (Mazda3's), leading up to a five person shoot-out in our Mitsubishi Evolution. There will be a cash prize and a 'loser's bracket' champion will win cash as well. Probably priced around $60. Minimum of 5 runs... Max of at least 12.
- Multi-lap events / enduro's - Come out and run 10 laps, 20 laps, 30 laps at a time. More details to come...
- Test and Tune - Members will get as much time as they want to come and run their cars. Even with events running we will have room for members to run. And, test and tune time will be at all times throughout the week, not just our 'off-peak' times.

Features:
- Course will be a track with up to 40 different course designs. Each course will be named after a state (Indiana, Montana, Florida, etc.). All courses will be posted on the internet. Members can request specific courses to be set up. Set up is 10 minutes, so multiple courses can be set up.
- Will have a building with bathrooms, lounge area and multi-media review station. We will have video feeds that we can burn into a DVD for you.
- We will have segment timing, so you can see what segments of the course are faster for you, and which ones you need to work on.
- We will have GPS track software available, which will chart your course around the track. Compare it to your competitors and see what they are doing compared to you.
- Integrated timing display, so you can easily see your time when your run is done.
- Top-level instruction in your car or ours.

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Now is the time to get arrange your membership and take advantage of our discounted rates.

Rates for Membership: (Good until July 31st, 2009).
Note: Asphalt has a 'season'. In order to have the track ready early next year, it has to be completed this fall. That is why we are working hard to generate capital quickly. All membership money is kept in a separate account and not touched until the site is 100% a 'go' (depends on how quickly we can sell memberships). If, for some reason, we aren't able to build the site, 100% of funds are returned.

Rates:
Gold Package - $1000 - Good until 12/31/2013 (3 years, $333 per year). $500 payable by July 31st. The balance is due by 2/28/10. If you pay the full amount by July 31st, 2010, we will take $100 off to make it $900.
Silver Package - $500 - Good until 12/31/10. Total amount is due by July 31st, 2009
Bronze Package - $350 - Weekday only package (M-F) - Good until 12/31/10.

We are going to do everything we can to make our members feel special and that they got good value for their investment. Without our members, our site could not be built.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or comments.

Thank you,
Todd James

Interesting. How large is the track going to be? Any online location setup that can show the courses that will be availible?

So any member package can just show up and go run the courses even on days other events are planned...

How many memberships have sold and how many are needed to make it happen?

Great questions! Thank you for taking the time to ask.

- Our website is www.rpmchallengeusa.com and needs updated, which we will be doing over the next several weeks.
- We are currently designing the course, based on cost. So far, we are looking at two phases. Phase one is about 1800 linear feet of track (30 feet wide), with Phase two adding maybe another 1800 feet. While it will be an autocross course, it will get a Corvette owner's heart racing a little bit. I'd like to be able to host Corvette Club Events. Eventually (next spring), all the course designs will be online and you print them out. It will be very user-friendly.
- Many of our events, such as the RPM Racing League and the Ultimate Driver Contest have pockets of downtime in them. Members can come jump in and zoom around. The goal would be to maximize the use for members to provide value for their investment. From there, our intent is to provide such great service that members will continue year to year.
- I just started this campaign a couple days ago, so we haven't sold any memberships yet. I have a 3-D version of the complex (not exact, but similar) in the works right now.
- My magic number is $100,000. $50,000 will be enough to make it a 'go' and $100,000 will help add length to the track.

Thank you again for the questions.

Hey Todd,

Sounds like it is really coming together. You may have me as a member later this spring if funds allow. Got to get a new clutch for the FRC before I can even show up for autocross this spring.

Was planning on new shocks, but that is going to have to wait for now.

Hopefully see you at the first FWSCCA event. Try to keep the wheels on the car this year.

Things are actually coming along very nicely. I would love to have you as a member. We'll make sure everyone is up-to-date on everything.

I will do my best to keep the wheels on. HAHA! Talk about lucky... wow.
