I was told that the local police are looking for $$$$$ to help support there townships . So they are looking for any reason to ticket people . So why give them a reason . My plate is on the car under the cover that is velcroed on

I don't think that piece would look good for the cool air mod since there is nothing across the top of the piece. It just wouldn't look right. You really need to cut a full cover.

i was gunna do the same thing but no longer have a use for it

Thanks for the offer Keith and good to hear from you, although I was disappoined to hear that you sold your pride and joy blown Z (but all this stuff in life is easily replaceable).

I acutally have the screen already and am looking for an elec. blue stock license plate cover only, to complete this mod, as I prefer not to cut my own stock one as I would like to keep mine in tact (but the screen part of the mod I have had since last year).

Took the car out for the first time today. Local police pulled me over right in front of my house. I didn't even have my wallet on me.
No plate and tint, looked at him and said " your kidding me right" he said no unfortunately not. Told him to sit tight while i go inside and get my wallet. He replied "dont bother it's your lucky day". Have been driving vettes since 93 and have never been stopped for a plate. I cant see ruining the front like that.
Man i hope this is no indication of the season ahead.Next time your out cruising take a look at all the people running around with no front plate, you will be shocked.

I am thinking it is . I have been told my local LEOs are hot and bothered about no front plates they need $$$$$$$$$$$$.....so my front cover is coming off when the car comes out .....

I might have to invest in one of those nice brackets for the front. Oh well, i think the cop realized how stupid of a reason of stopping me. I've never had a cop just say forget it like that and not even check my license. Got a break today. Here's a idea, beat the **** out of your plate and mount some piece of plastic to it. Keep it in back like it fell off, now i'm thinking.

I will never put a front plate on, It just looks like crap, I know if you drive look and see how many cars have no front plates and it's like every 3 or 4 car, I got a ticket in the village of Golf a few years back but they are not even real police and I guess they needed the money so I payed the ticket and chalked it up to a donation to a poor town that needed the money more than me, He asked me if I'm going to put it on and I just NO. I would think if you just ask nice for a brake they will let you slide, Not the Village of Golf tho.

I'll take the cover off for a while . I really don't care rather not be hassled . Next season it can go back on .but knowing me i'll forget it's on and get stopped
