Default Motorsports Complex in Northern Indiana

Hey All,

My team, The RPM Group, is in the process of designing and building a purpose-built motorsports facility in Northern Indiana (most likely about 1/2 hour west of Fort Wayne in Columbia City, IN.

The course layout will allow us to have approximately 40 variations of course (autocross) design for our customers. Each course will be named after a state (Indiana, Texas, Montana, etc...).

Our core activity is our RPM Racing League. It is an autocross league that competes once a week for seven weeks. The fundamentals are very similar to a bowling league. Teams of three compete for points each week. Each week different teams go head-to-head. We provide the cars (all identical). We are using Mazda3's.

We will also have an advanced league using C5 Corvettes. Those leagues are limited and competitors 'earn' their way into those spots. This year we are keeping the course the same for all seven weeks. Next year we will offer an advanced league using a different course each week.

The reason I am putting this here is because we will also be offering memberships to our facility. For an annual fee, you will be able to use our course during any of our 'test and tune' times. We plan on having a wide variety of times available to accomodate people's schedules. All course designs will be available by request. So, if you are coming on a Tuesday evening and want us to set up the "Texas" course, we would be more than happy to do so. Several of our courses will be 'Corvette-Friendly'.

Pricing will most likely be:

$60 an hour
$750 for full membership
$450 for weekday only membership

We are starting to sell memberships now for the 2010 season. We are using the money to raise capital. Our intention is to build the facility this year, so anyone who buys a membership will get 2009 for free.

2011 pricing will be $1000 for a full membership and $700 for a week-day membership, but anyone who buys a 2010 membership will keep 2010 pricing as long as they renew each year.

There are several benefits to members in addition to the extensive availability of the track.

So, we'd like some feedback. Thoughts? I know it is not a road course, but our course design is similar to a small road course. Members also have the option to run several laps at a time as well.
We are hoping to provide a low-cost option for those wishing to drive their cars as they should be driven, in a safe environment.

Several individuals have already indicated interest at this pricing level.

Thank you,

Todd James
Marketing Director
The RPM Group

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
