Default MFBA Road America Rental April 18 & 19 2009

Fellow Motorsport Enthusiast,

The Midwest F-Body Association has opened registration for its spring, ‘09 event. The dates will be April 18 & 19, 2009. We are still working on updating the website so please email me (AMXHornet@aol.com) or PM me on here and I'll send you the registration form and Liability waiver and mail it to the address below. You can pay by Check or Paypal. The email address for Paypal payments is mfba@fbody.us and for Checks please make them out to Midwest F-body Association.

For those who are familiar with our event already, there will be some changes made regarding registration procedures.

Changes Noted Below:

Payment Cost:

Date Range______________Weekend_________1 Day
Before Jan 15______________$395___________$230
After Jan 16 to Mar 1_______ $445___________$255
Mar 2 to Event ____________ $495___________$280

The Mailing Address has also Changed to the Following:

MFBA
Attn: Carmen Drays
4924 Fielding
Rockford, IL 61102

For our upcoming April, 2009 event we are urging that most payments and registration forms be submitted before January 15, 2009 to cover the cost of the deposit for the track rental. Most other aspects of the event itself will remain the same, however we are looking to add several popular vendors onsite that will be selling parts.

For those who are not familiar with our event, we are going into our 9th year running and offer the opportunity for the automotive enthusiast to drive their car on the famed Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI. We have 4 different run groups available so that whether you are a novice that has never driven on a track before, a seasoned race driver or somewhere in-between, you will be placed with drivers of similar experience. Our event caters to you getting effective track time in a controlled environment, and having fun while doing it. This is a 2 day non-timed, non-competitive event and instructors will be available to for coaching and ride-alongs.

Event alumni includes members from the SCCA, NASA, Midwest Council, Northwoods Region Shelby Club, Porsche Club of America, Badger Bimmers, American LeMans Series, and many other fine organizations.

For further event information or questions, please visit http://roadamerica.fbody.us or email us at roadamerica@fbody.us

Thank You,
Midwest F-body Association

Yes it is on a Saturday and Sunday. We also allow all makes and models of cars. If you have never been at Road America before I suggest registering for the Novice group. If you feel more comfortable after a few sessions and want to move up a group you can if there is room in the group you want to move into. Just PM me your email address and I will send you the form that needs to be filled out with the address to send it too.

Hey Carmen you need the liability form signed and sent to you also? And Road America's sight mentions 255 dollars after Jan 1st 09. Which is it, the form price,or 255. Will be sending in a couple of days.
Thanks John.

Go with the prices on the form.

We decided to change the dates after it was put on the site, then we started having issues with being able to update the site.

I highly recommend this event. Unfortunately, I expect to be in Birmingham much of April so I can't sign up at this time. But if you can make the time, go. No other track in North America provides such a great combination of long straights to wring out our big V8s with a nice mix of slow, medium, fast, and very fast corners to show off what America's Sports Car can do. Add in the elevation changes, the very pretty surroundings, and the great people and you have all the ingredients for a fantastic weekend.

That's good news! My daughter's birthday is always on the spring event weekend, this year I won't be able to attend. I'll be at the fall event though for sure!
