Default [SE MI] GM Heritage Center Tour Info [July 15]

UPDATE: THE JULY 15TH TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELED. We will try to reschedule in the future. A new signup thread will be posted. Thanks for your understanding

Recently GM has opened its doors to their Heritage Center in Sterling Heights. I have been in contact with their tour coordinators of potentially scheduling a tour for our group.

- The cost is a flat fee of $300 for up to 30 people.
- That will only cost us $10 per person if we can get max quota.

This is a great opportunity to check out some of GM's automotive treasures normally not available for public viewing.

Looking forward to the first 30 responders!

DATE: JULY 15TH
TIME: 10AM (Tour will last approximately 90 minutes)
Address: 6400 Center Dr (Eastside of Mound Rd South of Metro Parkway)

GM Heritage Tour List as of June 4th

If we are going to wait that long why not just wait and go for free?

I'd be interested, count me in.

As long as there is no talk of "tree huggers, doctor's wages, gas prices, perscription drugs, or national health care"

I can say that if you get a chance to see the inside of this facility (like I did) you would say it was incredible!

If you get a chance to go, then GO, because you will probably never get a second chance to see these automotive works of art up close and in the flesh!

I would love to go but, I work full time.... minimally 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. :o How is anyone supposed to go during these hours?

PS: Actually, I have been in it before for a work related event. It's an incredible amount of automotive history in one building, and it's really worth it if you can go during these hours.

Well if we do the afternoon session on the 22nd, you can ask your boss to leave early. Make up the time, or take half a personal. Depending on your work situation.

Unfortunately they don't do weekend tours!

Thanks for setting up the tour, I'm sure we'll have a blast. I was lucky enough to attend a dinner at the HC last August during Detroit GP week, I've never been on the official tour. It was great watching O'Connell check out the cars, even he looked like a kid in a candy shop!

We got to do the same with Ron Fellows. That was badass.

When you get confirmation to date and time then I can say whether I will be able to make it.

I can recommend an EXCELLENT local pancake place if we want to meet up for breakfast pre-tour.
