Just remembered I had this photo sent from a buddy who was camping in Death Valley and took a ride to see the scenery, he was on his motorcycle. This was from back in late March!

At least around here it really doesn't matter. The difference is the same back when it was between 0.99 to $1.19 per gallon as it is between $3.75 and $3.95 now. Fortunately we still have only 10 cent differences at least around Columbus OH. Down in Florida I saw a couple of stations doing 20 cents between grades.

I guess my car would be classified as a garage queen because it's a toy. The price of gas bothers me a bunch. Like some others have posted, I'll only be doing weekend shows, Bloomington Gold, etc. My dd is a Nissan Sentra that costs $45 to fill. The increase in gas prices is not going to stop until the dollar stops losing its value. Enjoy gas while it's still under $5 a gallon.

My LS2 GTO is my DD, and also the most fuel efficient vehicle in my stable, so these prices are hurting me. The wife's V8 AWD Mountaineer lease is up next month so she's going to get something more efficient.

1st its SLOlane and owning a a Vette isnt the POINT. I can get a cheap C4 for way under 10K. Doesnt mean IM rich if I own a Vette----or can afford to waste $$$$$$. The point is the cost of gas is killing a lot of hard working people who may be barely getting by and the subsequent rise in prices of everything else. And there is NO end in site ----the #$@@$^ who run this county are doing nothing about it. People with attitudes like yours just amaze me.

I will not be changing my driving habits any. Besides the C5 gets the best milage out of all the cars I have, even with LT's and a cam. And before you ask I have a 94 S-10, and an 03 Lexus LS430.

Just think almost everywhere else in the world they have been paying in excess of $5 a gallon for quite some time. Here are a couple of solutions I have thought of for those of you that are complaining:
1. Sell your Vette and buy a Prius
2. Sell your Vette and buy a bike
3. Sell your Vette and take the bus
4. Keep your Vette, fill it up and drive like you stole it!!!!
I am choosing #4.

Everywhere else in the world has Free Medical and thats where that excess $$$ for gas is going. So dont give us this gas is higher all over the world crap. Maybe you think they should raise it to $10 a gallon too?
This has nothing to do with the VETTE! Its every Car and truck and CONSUMER out there who is going to be paying higher everything in the trickle down.
Im betting those who think it is so great have one of those Company pays my Gas type jobs.

Canadian Gas Prices and European Prices
$ 1.35 a Litre for Mid Grade or $ 1.40 for 91-92 Octane
Canadian Gallon has 160 oz and USA Gallon is 128 oz
1 Cdn. Gallon is 4.56 litres and a
USA Gallon is about 4.0 litres
$ 1.35 x 4 = $ 5.40 gallon for mid grade and
$ 1.40 x 4 = $ 5.60 gallon for high test so
Go out and get the US gas and count yourself lucky and
come to think , I'll count myself lucky cause gas was $ 1.0 Euro / litre in Europe and that's about $ 1.70 Canadian / litre
ps : I live 40 miles from Detroit so when I go to the USA , I fill up as does EVERY CANADIAN that goes to the USA . It works out to about
$ 1.08 / litre
