Default Power Flush location?

I'm going to ask our good friend Rick of http://www.rickanthonymotorsports.net to change my oil. I would like to have my 6 year old Dexcool power flushed and replaced for this upcoming season. Is there anyone in our are that can be trusted to do I proper job??? I have yet to use Lindgerg auto (lake Zurich), they are supposed to know Corvettes.

Ask him if he can do it at work during the day. I've had work done by him at the shop he works at.

I drank too much beer last night. I could use a power flush right about now.

Rick is a great choice for an oil change.

IDK why people do a power flush, just drain it fill with water run it through and repeat till water runs clean. Drain and fill with coolant

From what I read/hear it's best to get ALL the old Dexcool out of there before adding the new, no?

Boy, with all the consumer complaints and class action law suits it’s had to find information on what brand of Dex-cool to use in an 02’. Is the (original) Havoline/Texaco “Dex-cool” the proper stuff or can the “alternative” Dex-cool’s be used? Even the Goodwrench site is unclear, their coolant listed (p/n 12346290) say’s “*Do not add to cooling systems that require DEX-COOL®”

IMO power flush isnt necessary. Drain and fill it up with water, run/drive it a bit to get tstat open and drain again. Keep doing this till only clear water runs out. Now you have esentially flushed the entire coolant system. Drain radiator. Now just put in straight coolant. Whatever your car holds off hand I dont know what the C5 takes its somewhere between 11-12 quearts. So half of that is 5.5 -6 quarts. Pour that straight in then add water till full. Basically now you have a 50/50 mix, hope this makes sense. Ill be home next week all week if you want a hand I can swing by and help you out. This is also the time to ditch the dexcool if you want

As long as you fill with water and drain a few times till its clean the dexcool will be out. Been doing this to are GMs for years Vette got this right after it came home and not a problem
