Default whole bunch of new parts on the way

well, i did it. i ordered the suspension kit from VB&P this afternoon.

ive got a whole bunch of stuff coming.

330lbs composite monospring
460lbs front coils
1.125" front adco sway bar
3/4' rear adco swaybar
4 Bilstein Sport gas shock
VB&P poly adjustable Smart Struts
redesigned Smart Strut Bracket

best part of it all? easily adjustable rear wheel camber and ride hight. just gotta turn 1 bolt on each side and thats all it takes to change the ride height.

to add to that, ive got a nice list of new parts waiting to be installed
C5 seats
complete new radio
new light bulbs for the entire car
tach and speedometer (finally. kinda needed the tach considering how ive been pushing the car when im out with you guys)

You going to have that thing ready for spring so you can come out and play? I am still waiting for your vote on our sticker.

Xmas in march? it sure looks that way.

that fiberglass mono spring weights next to nothing. 10lbs, if that. my dad said when he pulled the old leaf spring off to have it repaired 25 years ago, it had to weight 60-70lbs. so it looks like ill be knocking off some weight with this too.

Default Front Shock tower brace

I did the same exact setup on my 79. What a huge difference. One thing you should add is the front shock tower brace. That in itself was a very noticeable difference. VBP says they bolt on B.S. needs to be welded.

Looking good. I would love to add those mods to my 73. I added a TRW spring last year and what a difference that made in the ride without the stuff you are adding. I can only emagine how good your ride is going to be.

after doing a bit of reading, it looks like i may have to rip off my front spindles and replace the ball joints while im at it. the coils apparently dont come out with out atleast poping off the upper ball joint.

theres another hundred bucks or so gone.

... plus the alignment.

damn it, im never going to get started on the vette.

we were just finishing up the sunbird this afternoon and found one mysterious bolt left over.

its the bolt for the god damn water pump, which is only the hardest damn thing to get to. serpentine belt and belt tensioner come off, which is only a massive pita. then the timing belt cover, which has a bolt in it that is next to impossible. then the timing belt and and cam shaft gear (took us 2 days to get that damned thing lined up again) and then the rear timing cover. and then it all goes back together again....
