Default Good Guys Caravan in Vettes Saturday or Sunday (what's your pleasure)?

OK, What does DA CREW WANNA DO? I take it from recent developments involving several of the key CHICAGO CREW CAPOS, and DA DON himself (JOHHNY), dat you guys are up for DA GOOD FELLOWS (GUYS) instead of FUNFEST, and I take it you guys want to caravan in the vettes on Saturday vs. Sunday. Let's take a vote, I can pull off either day, and so we can sleep in a bit and nurse our hangovers (for DOSE CREW MEMBERS who like a little CIDER on the weekends or do a little chasing after hours (Jimmy O, DPG and TANK come to mind) what DO YOU YOUTS say about meeting at DAT DARE DAVE & BUSTERS, in ADDSION, IL, at 9:00 a.m., and blasting off for CHICAGO SPEEDWAY in JOLIET, for DA GOOD GUYS EXTRAVANGZA by 9:30 AM sharp, to beat the heat a litle bit although it should be comforable compared to BLOOM GOLD, etc.

REMEMBER, we won't be able to show our vettes as this is 1972 and older but we sure as heck can have a fun spirted carvan on the way up there!

It has to be Saturday for me as well. Since I had to bail on Funfest, this works well for me. I don't get into trouble with the Mrs. and I get to spend some time with the crew.
Hope there is good parking so we can drive the vettes. I was looking forward to a spirited ride.

According to the Chicago Speedway website, they have 500 acres of free parking, but it would be good to get confirmation from someone who attends the event tomorrow.

Its set then, we will do this on SATURDAY and we should be able to drive our vettes there as there is usually plenty of grassy parking areas for these events out there (as longs as its not muddy and there has not been much rain as of late).

Will plan on caravaning as set forth above and will fine tune with everyone at Rolling Meadows tommorrow early evening!

Every time I have been to the track the grassy area is pretty rough. I haven't been there though this year so I don't know. What I do know is that from past experience, I wouldn't even consider driving my Vette through that area. JMO, good luck.

Grass parking is all flat and smooth there, no worries unless you are really slammed low.

It certainly can be if you don't get a desirable spot and this could be a problem. TOMMYN may be going on Friday and if he or anyone else goes on FRIDAY give us a report. That being said SATURDAY is sure to be he busiest day and parking could be an issue! We could always park a little further away and walk in a mile or so as I have done that in the past.

If there is a will there is a way but it is going to be a zoo and not being able to drive our vettes out there would kill half the fun! We will do more research and discuss this at ROlling Meadows, etc., and will post up here about final decision on the caravan in our vettes vs. Daily drivers!

Mikey is coming along so we have to take the Daily Driver. We will still join the caravan at 75th and serve as the back-marker. We on 2-ways? What channel? Or who has my cell that can call me when you are pulling out of D&B?
