hats off to the guys that did the drive. still a fairly large group all things considered.
the rain didn't start untill we officialy got our selves on the road after the meeting. it was contant rain thru just east of appleton untill we got on to hwy 114 to where we got dumped on in some serious black clouds. thankfully that did not last long. the rain cleared south of sherwood and we were greeted with sunny skies back in fondy.
shortly after the the end of the event we were hit with a heavy, and i mean heavy, hard rain on the way home. had to hide under a bridge for a while to let the storm pass.
had a couple of beers when i got home. it calmed the nerves. not too bad of a day.
It was a monsoon here! It rained most of the day. In all but the worst of it, there were tons of motorcycles on the road.
i spoke with my friend on the safety crew at road america. he said they got every race in with a minor delay between one of the afternoon events. otherwise a success, he said.
