Hey... Happy B Day Jimmy, you certainly have had your fair share of names on this board since joining. When I first met you it was Nitrovette and we used to go to the track all the time Now you dont

YEAH your right MIKE, and after modding 4 C5s (and still going as we speak ) and after 6 seasons, I'm running out of $ (Harley and 70 Charger had something to do with that ) and last time to the track in my C5R 427 it cost me $3,000 in broken drive train parts for 2 passes, so sticking to road racing now as a little less tear on the drivetrain parts. As they say you have to pay to play and right now trying to find an extra pillow case which i can't seem to locate (but still looking) for a new superstroker 427(and not anymore broken drivetrain parts).

Happy Birthday Jimmy!!!
Dont be fooled about road racing not being hard on your car. Its actually much harder on tires, brakes, engine and drivetrain. And thats the short list, it gets much worse when you kiss a wall or another car at 70mph. Stay safe

Oh Pete, I fully realize this and agree 100%, except for broken C5 drivetrain parts, from the shock of launching a big HP C5 with slicks in the first 60 feet (where most drivetrain breakage takes place) when the C5 drivetrain is not strong enough many times to handle the 500rwhp shock of launhcing with stickies! Ask TOMMY N about my first hand experience with this several seasons ago!
