Chicagoland Scale.....
Where can I weigh my C6 in the Chicagoland area? My friends think my C6 weighs a lot because it has the A6 Transmission and the Z51 Package. I e-mailed GM and they told me "3,179 is the total weight of a C6, with standard equipment, and all necessary operating consumables (fuel, motor oil, coolant, etc), excluding cargo and driver/passenger."
Thanks,
Daniel

I don't know the name of it or what they may charge or even if it is open to public (but I guess it is) in Addison. It is on Fullerton Ave just East of old rt53 (Rohlwing Road) on the North side of the street. If you go as far as the RR tracks you have missed it.
I'll be out later on the scoot, I'll drive by and see if I can get a name and number and post.

I had a boat and trailer weighted at obrians scrap in franklin park, west of 25th on belmont/ franklin ave. I took it off the hitch and all to see total weight for the correct rated tires. They did'nt even charge me. Its a drive on flat scale , the apron off the street would be the problem with the vett.

Jorgensen Steel, off of Irving in Schaumburg use to have a scale, might still, it is the first street west of the track when head west out of Roselle.

It's called Combined Resources, 1750 W Fullerton, Addison. From the looks of the place they repair large trucks too.
And Jeff is correct, Jorgensen does have a scale. If you look for them in phone book it is Earle Jorgensen Steel.

well if you lived on the south side of Chicago i could help you out. My job is to weigh in garbage trucks....lol you could come across one of our scales and its free. only bad thing with ours is that it reads in 20lb incraments, but i would imagine most TRUCK scales would read like that. I am pretty sure that any scale you go to will let you know how much you weigh for FREE just as long as you dont need a printed copy of the ticket.
