Default Please Help! I did something real stupid.

It's a great day in Chicago burbs to do a wash & wax. Started to back out of the garage, heard the kids in the driveway. Looked back to make sure they weren't in the way, and CRACK!!! I broke the passenger side mirror.

It's cracked and the mirror is just hanging down. Can anyone suggest a good body shop or dealership in the west/northwest Chicago suburbs? It's a EB coupe. Thanks, and now I'm going to the basement and have a good cry.

You could try Central Auto Body in Roselle. I do not have any personal experience, but they do work on Corvettes and received recommendations from other forum members.

did you damage the door or just break the mirror? if not maybe you can pick up a used one from some place like vette2vette or gene ar karshop? just a thought, the mirror it's self is not difficult to replace just time consuming..
Good Luck

Very good advice

If you did damage the door/mirror to the point where you need paintwork etc...

I use Lonnie's Auto Body in Huntley, this guy is excellent, very meticulous and has been in the business for 25+ years, he has done tons of restorations, works on alot of exotics (Lambo, Porsche, Jaguar etc.....). Lonnie owns the shop and does all of the painting, he is a car nut too.

Shoot me a PM if you want his info

Mike
