I put mine behind the mirror where I can't see it.

On some cars it works inside the glove box. YMMV

I believe the rules for I-pass say that it has to be displayed in the top inside of the windshield. I saw neioghbors photo on ticket that was mailed to him. His was laying on the seat of the car and did not register.

There is another type available that bolts to the front license plate... assuming you have one. This type is meant for cars with metalllic windshield coatings that block signal.

You could rubber band it to your visor, make sure the visor is down when you pass.

I spray painted mine black and mounted behind the mirror. I hardly notice it's there. I still have one of the old school I-Pass transponders with the LCD display and I like to hear it beep to know that it is working.

If you don't want to do it the "illegal" way - or wrong way - whatever , just go to Osco and go to the front desk where they sell the I-Pass stuff, and look for the black "holder" for the white transponder. Once installed, you can hardly see the unit. It's just a little black box/holder that suction cups to the window and is virtually invisible.

If you're going to FunFest, look me up and check it out.

Or ask a few of the buds on the forum who have done the same (Just J, etc.)

We got the holder from Jewel/osco and with a clean windshield it pops on when needed and off when not in use, and can be transfered to one of the other cars.

Me too. Keep it in you console until you need it. It is an eye sore. There is no wayt o get a ticket if your car is registered to that I-Pass. If you blow through a toll with it and it does not register or without it you will see V-Toll on your statement onlive. That stands for video toll and your account is debited. Not ticketed.

Some great advice - I followed it, and tucked it behind the mirror. I can't see it from the inside at all, and you can barely see it from the outside. Highly recommended.

I put mine on the windshield only when I am in the Chicago area. A checklist is needed when heading up there. The radar detector, take the I-Pass out of the vehicle I usually drive up there, install it in the black box and attach it to the windshield or to the glass top...

Oh yeah, and fill up the CD player in the trunk (no XM)

I hold my I-Pass up when I pass through the tolls. When I'm on my Harley I carry the unit in my jacket pocket.
