Default Anyone in the Kansas City area have a 1988-1991 corvette?

I would like to test your starter on my car. I don't want to buy a new starter for $100 bucks if my current NEW starter isn't the problem, my original starter tests fine, but won't start the car anymore. I bought one new one on ebay for ~$100 and the same problem happens. The starter still tests fine, but the car won't start. It's not eating the flywheel teeth at all...it just clicks into the flywheel a single time and nothing happens - the engine doesn't turn over. The parts stores won't let you just buy and return a starter - I've asked several...they say they can't return the starter because it's a special order part. I don't want to be out another hundred bucks, so I'm asking for a local club person to let me borrow a starter for a couple hours to test if that's the problem with a known good starter. I'll put money up front and if I break it I'll buy you a new one. I just want the money back when I return the starter in the same condition because I'm banking that my brand new starter isn't the problem --- but I hate to pay another 100 bucks to find out.

can anyone local to kansas city help me out? My corvette is a 1990 zf 6 speed coupe. I'll drive out to get it and drive back to return it. I'll remove and replace it to your car as well if you like. I'll vouch for no damage to your starter or I'll buy you a new replacement.

I know this is an odd request and the chances are low that anyone will help me out...but I'd appreciate it if someone would.
