Corvette Fun Fest
Hi all, I am not sure if I will be able to make Carlisle or not but I am going to Corvette Fun Fest in Effingham ILL. by Mid America Motorworks. I live just South of Indianapolis In. and was wondering how many forum members will be going. I will be taking my 63SWC this year, hopefully I will have sold the 54 Vette by then. There are several people in our Corvette Club going and we are going to all go as a group . We will all be meeting at the first rest stop just West of Indianapolis on I-70 West. This rest stop is about 8 or 9 miles West of I-465 on the West side. Not sure what time we will leave there yet but in the past we leave about 7am and stop about 1/2 way and eat breakfast and on to Effingham we go.
If any of you are going we would love to have you cruise over with us if you want. Just let me know so we will have an idea how many cars to look out for. All Corvettes welcome.
This years intertainment on Sat. night is the 4 TOPS.

There usually is a whole contingency of CorvetteForum guys and gals that go down. Follow the Great Lakes section for more details on either caravans or special Corvette parking for CF members. The last two years the parking was great!

Maybe not the 4 Tops.....
I think the entertainment has been changed. While I was placing an order with Butch at the Midamerica booth while at Bloomington Gold I had brought up the fact that the 4 Tops were playing at Funfest and was told that there had been a change. Apparently one of the members of the group has passed away and the group had decided not to tour so REO Speedwagon was booked in their place. Has anyone else heard this same story?

I'm going... Most likely Friday and Saturday. Good time. Only one goodies vendor though - Mid or is it Mod America. That's ok I'm done with my mods for this year. Hope to meet some more forum folks. One complaint I've got is the Dayum speakers/announcers that are too loud...

Nice car, by the way! I'd love to see that in person. You should join the forum group that meets on 96th street in Indy every month. We'd love to have you!

Does this mean the average age of corvette owners has changed by about 15 years
We are heading down Friday morning, staying at Garden Inn

Tom may chime in but this is where the forum parking actually got it's start. In past years they set aside a spot for us all to park together, granted it was way in the back but still was fun. Here's a pic of a few of us a couple years back. would be nice if they upgraded the parking like they did at Bloomington this year.
Even found a picture of MonteHalls ride before it was totalled.
