if they are taking old abandoned buildings who cares. the problem is that it all contains abestos and lead and that makes remediation and demolition costs to greatly increase.

but what the heck are they talking about. the Guardian building just had it's grand reopening about a year or 2 ago. it's one of the best looking buildings in the city if not in the country.

yeah i was thinking the same thing.... i have a few friends that work int he building (architecture firms)...... the abestos thing will be an issue too..... not sure if they figured that into the costs or not...... alot of the building downtown are renovatable..... but due to b.s. people tear them down...... look at all the other cities that keep their historic buildings...... another thing is that people from out of state used to buy detroit buildings a nd strip them down of all the stone work/cornice work because you can't buy it/make it anymore..... but that's another story

prolly some b.s. website....but still, think about it..... i'm sure the kwame would be interested in selling detroit....... ever watch the mencia show/standup..... he talked about detroit for a quick second..... funny.....

i'm sure it's a pre-mature post...but alot of my friends in the architecture field resent detroit/design/future, so we all get a kick out of articles regarding detroit and it's future.....

maybe it's time for me to stand away from the computer and work on the 77
