Default Need someone in Flint, MI area to check out a Vette

Is there anyone in the Flint/Detroit area that could check out a C5 I'm looking to buy? The car is located in Swartz Creek (just West of Flint, MI). I'm in California. I need someone who knows C5's who could test drive the car, check for leaks, noises, etc., and let me know what they think. If it's in decent shape, I'll buy it. I recently wrecked my '98 Vert.

The car won't last long! It would be great if someone could look at it for me by Friday (Feb 24) or Saturday at the latest.

You can call me day or evening toll-free at 1-877-605-2016. I'm a nightowl, so I'm up until at least midnight (Pacific Time).

Thanks!

Dave

Thanks for the response. Hope it's not serious. Take care and have a swift recovery!

I can look at it for you tomorrow( Saturday), but not until the afternoon.
PM me the details, what you are looking for, why you want this car... what condition it is supposed to be in... etc...
Is the owner a CF member?

It's not supposed to be the greatest weekend around here with snow showers in the forecast. I'd like to be able to look at it, but my back is still hurting too much to do much this weekend.

Thanks Rich! But upon reconsideration, I'm going to pass on it. I just have too many other balls in the air right now. Though I think it's a great deal if in decent shape. I'm looking to eventually build a twin turbo car, and figured I'd just transplant a forged motor into it anyway. So the high miles don't bother me. I talked to the seller (or his wife), and she seemed very straight forward. Here's the link: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.j...g=en&cardist=51

Thanks again!

Dave

Edit: I don't think it's a CF member.

Thanks for the response! Yeah, being from California, the nasty, snowy weather never occurred to me. I feel for you guys!

Dave,
No problem. I understand having too many balls in the air!
