Yes I will be going to Autobahn, along with 3 Z06 owners we will end up staying in Naperville because of the NASCAR event at Chicagoland speedway. Myself and Z06Zoom are both forum members. I looks like it will be a fun weekend. Those guys are running in Group 3 and I will start out in Group 1 cause I'm still learning. If your going to come I'll shoot you cell number so we can get everyting coordinated.

I'm leaning toward doing the event with two caveats:

1) It's 5 hours away (I'm in Detroit)

2) I've been chasing an electrical nightmare for two weeks and can't solve it. If I keep the battery charged the car starts reliably, but I need more testing to make sure I don't drive 5 hours and have a dead car...

I'll keep looking here and if I can make it I'll get in touch to meet up.

IF you are unsure on you battery, I would lend you my portable jump start battery. When I ran my 64, you never new when the dredded 'short' gremlin would pop up. It saved me and a few friends time and again.

If you bring the car to Autobahn I can take a look at it, I'll bring a jumper pack and my testing equipment, I also have the GM shop manuals for a 93 (I recently went through this with a 93, which turned out to be a bad CCM). So if you feel like running and gettting a little help with your draw, I'd love to see another fast C4 down there.

Who says I'm fast

Got the car running tonight after deciding it was the Optispark (see thread in C4 tech/perf for a good laugh, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...57&forum_id=48) but there's no telling if it's actually fixed. Moisture+Optispark = mental institution. Assuming she starts on command for the rest of the weekend I think I'm in for AB.

Anyone run with NASA yet? I'd want to run in group 3 or 4 but I've never been to this track so I'd need a few laps with someone to learn the line. Do they offer that or will they make me run group 2?

GMan the following weekend is damn near guaranteed...

Here is a link for the Autobahn info page.
http://www.racenasa.com/infopages/INFOPAGE_AUTOBAHN.htm
Scary Fast if you haven't run with NASA before they will start you out in group 1, that's what I'm running cause I'm still learning and cause it's my first time on Autobahn. If you are showing good judgement they should move you along quick enough not to mention group 1 gets the track all to themselves so if you don't mind passing people there should be alot more room. Just my $.02

Hopefully we can get a nice group of Vettes to run it looks like weather will be good and the track will be fast

Opti replacement didn't fix my problem...Car won't even turn over now.

It's near impossible that I'll make it to Autobahn.

I got my Opti in without a hitch, my problem was really a bent over tab on the coil, but since I was planing on doing the Opti I went ahead with it. She'll rev all the way up to 6700 without any problem now. Hope to see you out there sometime this year.

The problem is getting narrowed down, I'm starting to become optimistic, and my goal is to be at Gingerman on the 16th.

You should come over to that one...

Unfortunatly I have a wedding I'm standing up in that weekend (and if I wasn't doing that the Historic races are at Road America). I've been waiting for a while to go to Gingerman I'm just waiting for the right weekend. I might just wait until NASA runs there next year. Hope you get everything running in time give me a call if you need a differant perspective. Hope to meet up some time at the track.
