after 35k miles and a whole lot of downtown and southside chicago driving on lowered bolts, the 01 vert needs new shocks. sometimes there's so much roll, i feel like im driving a pontoon. can anybody suggest a place to go to get minor suspension work done, i.e. installing new shocks and taking out the front lowering bolt? for all you lowered guys, where can i go get an alignment that can handle a lowered vette? while we're on the subject of shocks, im trying to decide between the bilstein sports and the 04 zo6 shocks. i got the z51 and it's all daily driving, never been to the track/autocross. for chicagoland driving, which would be the way to go? could also use a suggestion for a good paint shop to repaint the front bumper. too many darn trucks on 94/55 throwing rocks at my car. tried glenview autobody before on advice from forum members but it seems their paintjob wasnt as good since there are numerous chips in the paint and it's almost as if they didnt apply clearcoat. thanks...and hope to see everybody at vettefest.
