Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
A red Covette convertible....life is good!
2nd Owner, I've had the car since 1990 /-

The engine management is thru a 165 ECM & a Moates Burn 2 but still needs to be dialed in better. I wish I knew more about this tuning stuff but I'm learning! :o edit July 2011.......the tuning is as good as it needs to be now, & I'm starting to think about the nitrous more & more these days!
Suspension Modifications:
Energy Suspension poly bushings (yep, they squeak dammit!), C5 big brake upgrade w/ Brembro drilled & slotted rotors, SS braided lines all around, calipers powdercoated to match the body color (DRM), ZF Doc C beam plates have been added to help w/ rigidity.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Currently running AFS 18 x 9 1/2 chrome replica Z06 wheels w/ Kumho tires all around. I formerly ran ZR1 replicas with Michelin Pilot Sports.......the Kumhos feel much smoother!
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
No exterior mods except a color correct repaint several years ago (DRM). Interior has been redone w/ the original graphite sport seats, door panels, & carpet; the C68 ECC has been reworked & now actually works!; weatherstripping & seals have been renewed; new correct stayfast material folding top; a later model matching removable hardtop has been modified to fit; the passenger "crashpad" has been replaced with a flat panel; the original Bose stereo has been updated w/ an AC Delco CD player from "Doctor Don"; there is an antenna kill switch on the console; an A pillar 2 gauge pod w/Air Fuel Ratio & fuel pressure gauges; a trans temp gauge has been mounted in the flat panel on the passenger side; an RD crossbar helps significantly w/ body flex.
Future Modifications:
None planned, probably just routine maintenence. I *may* install some true duals & hook up the nitrous at some point. I don't think it ever ends completely though.......cha-ching  Read more ยป
