Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
poor car has a salvage title and just under 250k on car. title problem due to theft recovery in which they stole the motor and transmission. car is on its third engine and trans. bought the car beginning of summer 2011 for 2500 and have invested about 5000 in parts and i'm nowhere near done. looking to eventually start restoring corvettes and mopars. in my opinion the vette is the only vehicle from chevy worth buying. they can't make a vehicle go in a straight line. every chevy we've ever owned or known people who've owned one has had to rebuild the front end including this vette. i have rebuilt the front end, replaced the entire brake system, rebuilt the carb. now the engine needs rebuilt and the rad needs replaced again with something that will actually work. you can guess what happened to the motor.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
350, 350 with 50k miles. sidepipes, offenhauser dual port intake, holley 750 carb, s/r torquer heads.
Suspension Modifications:
new kyb gas-a-just shocks and rebuilt entire front suspension including powder-coating. have a new rear spring waiting to be installed.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
stock 1ft. wide tires
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
custom interior-badly sunfaded, 2 thousand dollar sound system that keeps blowing speakers due to rust from leakin Ts and sitting for 9 yrs uncovered
Future Modifications:
sooner or later-later than sooner i will be stripping the car of everything inside and out and painting it like the american flag. will have to replace upper w/shield frame which looks like cottage cheese.
will also be doing a custom cherry wood and mohair red velvet interior with some LED lighting on the center T bar. unfortunately i don't have $$$ for $150 per yard fabric right now (imagine that)
also upgrading the sound system. it currently has 10 speakers but only the 4 subs work and 1 sub being used as a mid to get some music playing. will be putting a few speakers inside the fenders with a switch to activate. i'm gonna really pi$$ off them city folks in Sedona:) train horn and all
i don't call it wake the dead for nothing.
by the time i'm done i'll have about 10 grand in the undercarriage and drive train, and haven't put a price on paint and int. yet. Read more ยป
