OUR CORVETTE HERITAGE:
I know you'll agree that keeping our Corvette heritage alive is important to the hobby. As new owners come on board, I'll bet there's a lot about Corvettes that they don't know.
The OUR CORVETTE HERITAGE series of threads is an attempt to bring us all up to speed or remind us about the history and development of our favourite car.

For the 58th in this series of threads, here's an article about a Corvette that you may never have heard of......the 1953 EX-122.
This article, in two parts, appeared in the August / September 1979 and October / November 1979 issues of Corvette News magazine.

'67, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, but this post is a perfect example about what I was trying to convey below regarding posting of pictures with text.
I hit page one here and for about two seconds the image was large enough to read but then the downsizer kicked in, rendering the image impossible to read. I think Troy, et al overlooked this consequence in the decision to downsize the pics! :yesnod:
Patrick (and all others having a sizing-problem :D ),
Assuming you're using Internet Explorer:
- click on Tools (top of window)
- click on Internet Options
- click on Advanced tab
- scroll down to Multimedia
- remove tick mark beside "Enable Automatic Image Resizing"

Tada!!!!
Now who in the hell would know that except you!! George Diana should put a sticky post up top, yes it's fine now, thanks. Let's see if it works on my post here:
That solution doesn't work for IE 5.1 for Tandy 1000. Oh well!
I got this mental image of Mac sitting astride an exercise bicycle way outback in White Rock, hooked up to a generator with the ol' Tandy 1000 duct-taped across the handle bars.
Man, maybe we should take up a collection to bump him up to at least a 486DX....... :lolg:
I don't need to be on the exercise bike- that what I have kids for.
(Pedal faster or no supper!)
The Now Community Newspaper is delivered to Chez Mac as is the Peace Arch News. I love the community newspapers. They provide a local prospective which no larger media can match. I expecially enjoy the "letters to the editor" section; usually good for a laugh.
Unfortunately, I don't know Guy Forcier- it sounds like he's quite a charactor. For most of my postings, I was in smaller communities where it was easily possible to know and be on a first name basis with all of the police officers, the mayor, municipal staff, the fire chief etc etc. Since my move to White Rock, that's not an option any more. Too bad.
Luck had very little to do with it. Paying one's due, however, can have rewards.
Here's the view I used to look out over, when I was on Vancouver Island. My house was about 100 metres up the road from this walkway. We were on the 'high' side; the neighbors had the waterfront, so their houses cost about double what ours did or more, but my view was as good, if not better than this. At night, it was so quiet, you could hear the waves lapping on the rocks below us. I miss that.
Our place now is about 5 km from the boardwalk area you've posted; no more ocean view for me but it's a better house and it's on acreage.
