I was watching Ebay last night, and saw a NOS GM thermostat for a C1 car sell for over $50! Why on earth would anyone pay that much for a Tstat that could be bought at any parts store and is not visible to anyone? I can see paying top dollar for parts that can gain points at judging, but cannot for the life of me understand what drives this sort of buying!

I saw an NOS '69 Camaro N34 simulated wood steering wheel go the other night for $2,200.00, and some guy ponied up $3,500.00 for a pair of NOS '69 Camaro sill plates about three months ago. P.T. Barnum was right :D
Yup - about $60/pr. from GM - only difference is the NOS ones have two very tiny rivet heads on the Fisher Body coach emblem - that's gotta be worth $3,500, right? :lolg:
