Default replacing tail/backup lights on 1979

I want to replace my tail and backup lights for my 79 vette because they are faded so much. Can I buy a newer vette version of these, meaning are they all the same size? If they aren't the same size, can you tell me what year they changed their size? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum,Barbie. The later model taillights are flat with no chrome trim.I think they will fit but why would you want to?You can buy the original lights still . :yesnod: :seeya
