Default How much is everyone paying for Gas (Petrol) these days?

I just paid $1.39 a gallon for 87 Octane in Thurmont, Maryland. What are you paying by your locale, be truthful now!!

I hope Dubya has the foresight to take Saddams oil when the Allies take Iraq, since it will cost Billons of $$$, we might as well get the booty!

I nominate his Highness "Emir Shiek '67 Heaven" to be Minister of Oil Production for North America. Every gas station will have a 102 Octane pump for Corvettes only at a price of say....75 cents a gallon!! Do I hear any objections?

You might want to check his fee schedules first, Patrick! 67 doesn't come cheap!!

I'll have to get out my calculator and do the translation from litres to gallons and CAD to USD before my answer will be meaningful but we're paying $0.769 per litre.

From what I've been reading, the cost of fuel is being driven up not only by Junior's War on Terrorism but also by the situation in Venezuela. What a wonderful world we live in!!

Let's see- 1.0 US gallon= 3.785 litres and $1 USD= $1.547 CAN soooooo we're paying $1.88 per gallon here in Vancouver.

For any of you Canadians, to directly translate without having to do conversions, multiply your cost per litre (in my case, 0.769) by 2.445 (if you trust my math :p:).

1.399 for SU 93 here in Acworth. But, I add Sunoco 112 at 5.00 per gallon just to get enough octane to keep the motor happy.

Whoa! That looks like the kind of place where they wash your windows, check your oil and tire pressure before they ask you what octane you prefer!!

When 67 and I open our religious retreat for Corvette owners (operated as non-profit benevolent society) we should be able to sell gas without all the taxes which should cut the price in half or so. I can see it all now.....

[dream sequence]
"Okay, guys. Remember to mumble your mantra... Ode to the horsepower, owed to the horsepower, owned by the horsepower and get those stupid flowers outta your hair!"

Hey, you! What's that you're smoking? Just because we're a cult, I mean a non-profit benevolent society, doesn't mean we approve of the wacky weed. I know our idiot politicians are trying to justify the sins of their youth by legalizing marihuana (babelfish: CAN to USA- marijuana) but the only intoxicant allowed around here is the smell of burnt rubber and the sound of sidepipes roaring. And the beer in the garage. And the soapy sweet smell of the car-wash girls in their bicinis.

What's that? Where's 67?? Oh, he's still in the garage, applying another coat of Zaino. He drove the coupe last week and he's been cleaning it ever since. Yeah, the car-wash girls gave up on him, said each time they got his coupe clean, ol' 67 would notice a water spot or a speck of dust. If he'd painted the dang thing yellow like everyone told him, he'd be out here getting a massage with the rest of us.

Okay, a new mantra.....fuelie, Holley and tripower, eat that gas so we go faster."
[/dream sequence] :jester

two days ago I paid $1.37 for 87 octane . Midgrade is 1.47 & 91 octane is 1.57. Although there was one place I saw the same day that had 87 octane for 1.29 over by I-95.

Paid $1.49/gal for 87 octane EXXON/MOBIL "regular" filling up my Dodge Durango yesterday. Cheapest I've seen 87 octane around Harford County MD is $1.43. I'm movin' to Thurmont :) Haven't bought any "rocket fuel" lately, as all the Corvettes are "bedded down" for the winter. Chuck

Here this morning, at an Chevron station. I found some 93 last week for 1.559 but my car pinged with it, so I went back to Chevron, no pings on the way to work.
