On Sunday, I parked the vette out in front of the house, so that I could wash the truck in the carport. well after living here for over 16 years, no one has ever wrecked if front of my house.
I live at a corner house, and these 2 Harley's pull up to the stop sign, then they start to turn, when the rookie rider runs into his buddy, and they both slide into the vette:cry
Here the kickers to my story. The rookie on the blue bike just bought it yesterday, so its not on his insurance yet. Then the sheriffs hauled him off in cuffs. he blew a .158 in the drunk-o-meter... What a way to learn how to ride your new 600 pound bike HUH?
Well the wife is still really pissed about the whole thing, but I keep telling her it will be fixed. It just won't be all original any more...
Only one of your three pictures came through. The others are 'red x' for whatever reason. I tried chasing the URL but it came up as 'off for maintenance' whatever that means.
The damage doesn't look terminal by any stretch but I know what you mean... it's not the same ever. :cuss :mad
Read about the disaster over in the C3 section. Sorry to hear it. Take it to a good shop...a Corvette specialty shop if possible. Regarding the insurance question on the cyclist....here in Maryland...you have a "grace" period when adding a vehicle to your policy. It's automatically covered for 30?? days even if you don't call your agent. Check into this. Chuck
:crySorry to here about your CE.I watched a guy with a CE with 20k miles completely total his car one year at bowling green.I was looking at the car 1/2 hour before .He took it down the track at beech bend and the trans blew a seal and sent him spinning.at one point he was going down the track backwards ,bouncing from one wall to the next. That sight is etched into my brain FOREVER. :seeya
Then Vette goes to the doctors tomorrow. I am getting 2 different quotes. One from a dealer, and the other from a private shop.
Both have done vette work on other ACE vettes. so I hope that I can get a decent repair done...
Hopefully the pics work again soon.and I will get some more as the repair gets done...
I had to claim this on my insurance, the rider that caused the wreck is not covered by his policy :mad But after the repairs are done, My insurance will be after him to pay them back...
At least I will get my CE fixed, for just my deductible ( $500.00 )
