'67, I am truly impressed, it would take me a month to put together something like this. :)

All I can remember from '67 was that it was my 10th birthday and I got a new bicycle. I do remember Steely Dan's song called 'Hey Nineteen' which begins with.....'waaay back in '67'.... and I almost got a Maryland Vanity tag for the '67 which read "HEY 19".

Hey great site! I bookmarked it.
I graduated from high school in ’67 and remember drooling over that year’s model. Always remember that distinguishing backup light.

Browsed the 67 song list too

Thanks for the post

Wasn't 1967 'the summer of love' according to the hippies? Of course, I can't remember much as I was only 3 years old..... :D I've been to Woodstock, Ontario but I don't think that counts.

I must admit I'm with paintdaddy. Here in Canajun Land, they refer to people like us as 'old souls' too much wisdom and maturity for our physical age. :nopity

Okay, the final additions (for now) are now posted. Have another look.

I had a lot of fun putting this "Tribute to 1967" page together. Where have the years gone?

Thanks for the memories.

Best friend bought one brand new - Blue (LeMans?) Roadster with white top. 435/427 - the real thing - and a monster! I LOVED that car. I went in the Air Force in March '68 and when I came home on leave, he let me use the car - heaven! Decided to get married in '69 - was home on leave to do the last of the details - went to my buddy's house to borrow the vette. No problem, he said - turns out he had lost his license for a while so he didn't need it at all - and he kept it pristine - asked if he would sell it to me. "Sure", he said - tell you what, I owe $2800 on it - pay that off and I will sign it over to you". All agreed, said I would pay and pick it up when I came home to get married. Came home later in '69, got married (in Ohio). Went back home (Mass) and went over to my buddy's house to pick up the car. Went inside and said "let's close this deal". He looked at me and said "I don't think we can do it". But Joe, we had a deal. He took me to the back door and opened it and in the back yard was a PILE OF BLUE FIBERGLASS, and the rest of the associated rubble. Joe, what happened? "Got drunk, went drag racing on 495, blew a tire at around 120 - don't remember much else".

I LOVED that car......

Sad story for you, but very interesting.

He's lucky he was still breathing and also lucky he wasn't behind bars.

Well, you are right - but it was 1969. Today, it would be a much different story!
