Default Towing Dynamometer

WOW !!!

Dear Santa, what I want for Christmas is shown below.....

The TD-1200 is designed for testing passenger cars, 4WD recreational vehicles and mini-van vehicles up to 10,000 pounds (4.536 kg) GVW

what fun that thing would be....

I guess I thought it would be good for Torque and Horsepower readings. But it looks like it is more suited to towing tests....

Oh well, it would still be fun begind my modified crewcab dually.

It simulates different weights of towed loads by applying the same kind of torque absorption to the wheels and measuring it that's used in stationary engine dynamometers; allows testing trailer-hauling performance and capability at many diffferent simulated trailer weights without having to use actual differently-weighted trailers.

Ah....thanks John. Figured it was somthing along those lines. I've never seen such a device, but I've led a sheltered life. :) Chuck
