Default Protect-O-Plate Decoder help needed

I'm going to be lazy here and use the fact that lately I've been really really busy as my excuse. :jester: Does anyone have information on how to decode Protect-O-Plate for 1970? I'd like to put some information on the '70 registry website about what the information on the plate means and how to decode it. I've had several people e-mail me questions about it and I don't know the answer. Usually once I get a few of the same question it means it's a good thing to put out on the website. :yesnod:

If anyone here would like to take a stab at putting together a few sentences on how to decode them I'd be eternally grateful and will be sure to give you due credit on the registry website. :) There are some example POPs on the registry website here: http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970regi...ocdetails.html

Thank you thank you!! :) ~Juliet

How about using your Ovalteen decoder ring?? Actually there was some information on the NCRS web site about decoding them. Also I believe the AIM has some information, but I can't swear to that.

Juliet,

Bob is correct... There is a "decoder" of sorts towards the front of the Assembly Instruction Manual... Basically, it breaks the plate down into a grid and shows where the various information is supposed to be located. I imagine that you could use that for your intended purpose.

Regards,

Thanks guys. Now I'll really have to get that Scanner software figured out. I still need to put those LT1 specs online which you sent me eons ago Stan. Sheesh am I behind or what? (DOn't answer that rhetorical Question.) :jester: ~Juliet
