I have a BW T10 that I am trying to identify. It has WD2792 stamped on cover side of case which I decode as Warner June 27 1959 2nd shift. The cover is cast iron and has 13-04-097-901 cast in. The case is aluminum and has 1304065903 WG DIV FPC3 cast in. The tail is aluminum and has 3 tapped holes for shifter which I read indicates early units?.
My research so far shows the 1959 should have a cast iron case. Is it a Corvette trans or Impala or other GM application? thanks

Re: looking for help with Borg Warner trans ID 1959? (joe58)
It's an April 27, 1979 Borg-Warner Super T-10; tailhousing should have casting # 13.04.066.905, and rear bearing retainer should be T89C-6A. The aluminum main case indicates it's an OEM transmission - the aftermarket super T-10's of that era had cast iron main cases.
