Default The weekend riddle.....

Okay, this is 100% my 10 year old son's fault as it's his riddle but it's not so bad...

You're travelling along a road towards two villages- Truthsville, where everyone tells only the truth and Liarstown, where everyone tells only lies. You want to reach Truthsville but you've reached a fork in the road and there are no street signs. There's a man standing there who appears to be local, but you don't know which village he comes from, so you don't know whether he will answer you truthfully or lie to you.

What question can you ask him which will ensure you reach your destination?

My response was this- I'm a man; I don't asked for directions!!
The correct response will be self-evident when you hear it......... :p:

Ask him, "which way is the villiage you live in?"

Edit: Then, just to make sure you're headed the right way, ask him, "does your villiage have the best 'biznoobie' bars?" :D

Ahhh, you ask the man..."which way to your village?" If he is telling the truth, he will point you in the right direction, if he is telling a lie, he will also point you in the right direction, towards Truthsville. :D

Why thank you Mac, it was a fairly tough logic question, but not anything a person with a normal IQ could not figure out, provided you have an attention span of more than 10 seconds!!! Go figure.

Okay, the last one was too easy... how about this one?

Schwartzenegger has a big one
Michael J. Fox has a small one
Madonna doesn't have one
The Pope has one but doesn't use his
Clinton uses his all the time
Mickey Mouse has an unusual one
George Burns' was hot, or so it seemed
Liberace never used his on women
Jerry Seinfeld is very, very proud of his
We never saw Lucy use Desi's

What is it?

Here's one for you....

"October 2, 2001" in MMDDYYYY format is a palindrome (a string that reads the same forwards as it does backwards).
10/02/2001 --> 10022001.

When was the last date before October 2, 2001 that is also a palindrome?

No idea whatsoever (September 21, 1209 ?) but
I'm betting the next one will be on November 2, 2011!

(I was expecting some kinda come-back involving Russell, the Love Muscle or Herman, the One Eyed German, not another riddle!!)

No takers on your palindrome, DD. Too bad- I was curious.

I'm surprised there wasn't even a comment from Jake the trouser snake or Earl the hidden squirrel.
