C3 wheel date code??
Cleaning out the garage..........
I worked in a tire shop during college and ended up with a set of C3 rally wheels (I think). I have owned these since the early 1980s, I remember these wheels were take offs from early in the cars life, but I don't remember the year of the car?
Can anyone tell me what I have and maybe what they are worth?? I only pulled one for the photos, but all 4 wheels are in good condition, still have original paint, I have the original trim rings and center caps too......

They're 69-82 Corvette 15x8 Rally Wheels. The "K" indicates Kelsey Hayes (the maker) and the "1" is their Romulus MI manufacturing plant. The "27" is likely the day they were made'
Take a look at the rim, in the area of the valve stem hole. There should be similar info stamped there, in the form of a K for Kelsey, 1 for Romulus, a single digit for the year, one or two digits for the month, one or two digits for the day, and then "AZ" which indicates a Corvette 15x8 rally.
The stamping by the valve stem hole would look like this, for a wheel made Feb. 27, 1970: K 1 0 2 (hole) 27 AZ.
The wheels are worth $200-400 for the set, and another $100-300 for the caps and rings, depending on condition.
