"V" shaped plug wire shield? (71' SB)

Are the "V" shaped plug wire shields on a 71' SB suppose to be chrome or some other plating? Gary

69 and earlier were chrome, 70 and later were dull silver zinc plated.

Thanks, the only replacement parts I could find were chrome and the ones that were on the car were not chrome.

You should be able to get them from most of the Corvette vendors, but I would check with Corvette Central first, as I believe they're the ones that repro the 70-79 "V"s.

My original owner 68 and 70 Corvettes still have their original shields and have the same plating. Came from the factory this way.
