What is the correct part number for the 300hp 62 corvette engine?

Those GM pistons and rods were discontinued from Service decades ago; you'll need to go with aftermarket replacements (Federal-Mogul/Speed-Pro, Sealed Power, etc.).

Yes, but I might be able to find some used pistons. I still need the part number if available.

The service replacement 300hp standard-bore piston was P/N 3799491; .001" O/S was 3799492, .020" was 3799493, and .030" was 3799494.

why would you want to use used pistons? They may be out of round and now you have an engine that sounds like a can or marbles...
