Default 70 Windshield Installer Recommendation

I am in Damascus, MD. I would like the installer to come out to the house to remove the windshield since the car is not running.

I will then have them come back at a later time to install new windshield after I have refinished the frame. There is some very very minor rust that I will be treating with POR15.

I am looking for someone that is familiar with C3s and knows the correct height at which to set the windshield.

Thanks,

Bill Lennox

Looks like I am going to classic glass in Frederick Maryland. He has actually restored vettes and has been in the business a long time.

One thing to be aware of, make sure the glass is perfectly centered in the frame side to side. The screws from the pillar trim go upward out into the frame along side the glass edge, if the window is not in perfectly to allow clearance of the screw holes, the incoming screw WILL crack the glass. Don't even ask how I know!!!!
SO MAKE THE INSTALLER AWARE OF THIS!!!!

Would it not be better to install the screws temporarily before installation of the windshield?

Possibly, but if the edge of the glass would hit the pointed end of the screw when installing, that would be enough to crack the glass. Clean the gutter area out good and be aware of the screw holes, that's all I'm saying................................
