Anyone had the seat belts refurbished 69 convertible?

I need to have the tongues replated and belts replaced on my lap belts. I was refered to Ssnake Oyl products and they seem to do good work just very expensive. The first price was near $300 and the buckle side is in really good shape, really doesn't need anything on that side except re dye the sleeve which I can do. Anyway I asked about just the tonuge side, $120 bucks for Bright Blue, plus another $20 each if I want labels. This seems a little expensive considering generic replacements are less than $20. Does this seem reasonable? Are there some other places I should try? Thanks, Kenneth

The other source for 100% correct seat belt restoration is Charlie Santorelli (Seat Belt Sity) in Bedminster, Pennsylvania, (908) 719-2354. "Correct" seat belt restoration that will pass NCRS/Bloomington judging is expensive - the prices you mentioned are what it costs.

Generic replacement belts ARE inexpensive - and will get a total deduction in judging.
