69 headlight actuator clevis finish

Mine were very rusty when I removed them to redo the seals and boots on the actuators. I have sand blasted them and need to know what finish or paint they originally used. I need to get them painted and reinstall the actuators before the hood goes back on.

I may not be able to help much. I think the clevises were bare metal, but mine show a little bit of overspray.

Bare metal! No wonder they were so rusty they looked like they were part of the first Chevrolet!!

Is this the answer? Anyone else bought new actuators with the clevis or a new clevis? If so, what was the finish on it?

So these are the only pics I have of one that is not rusted. The clevis appears black so with no other info, I guess that is the color it will be.
