Default 1966 Ignition Shield Cover Question

I need to re-glue the inside plastic insert (of the ignition cover) back to the ignition cover. The NCRS says that it is suppose to be a yellow glue. Does anyone know what glue will bond to the chrome and dry yellow?

A white glue will turn yellow with heat.

That 3M weather strip adhesive is yellow. It will stick to just about anything.
