bought a exhaust manifold bolt set for my 68. It's a 427/390 4sp with pretty much just PS as a power option...

the bolt that came off thats studded looks to be correct however the one in the kit from paragon is different just wondering if anyone know which style is correct..... here is a pic for comparison...obviously the rusted up one is what came off the car. thanks!!

Here is another thread with the same question.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1702902

Maybe y'all can get to together and see which one is correct.

GM probably used both studs through out the year.

Ask that question and show that picture over on the ncrs.org site.

Surely someone must know 68's well enough to know this. No joke I have yet to put the exhaust manifolds on I hate to ruin a gasket set by putting them on using the wrong bolt and have to take them back off...

engine is out of the car so I want to use the right one before the engine goes back in.

Have you tried asking on the NCRS site? You'll probably get the answer a lot quicker there.
