I recently came into what I believe to be an original 1969 1100882 alternator for my L46 with A/C. I've read through the NCRS archives and the '68-69 TIMJ for detailed information ... but some of the detail is not available, and I would like any feedback, pro or con.
Thanks ...
Stamped 1100882 61A
9A6 12V NEG
(date would decode to Jan 6, 1969)
Front side: fan/pulley appears to be 1 piece with 2.75" pulley diameter. There are 6 front supports behind the fan (the pulley nut will not move and I don't want to force it)
Side: 4 thin holding bolts have a "C" on the head
Back side: 11 o'clock insulator is burgundy color. There are 2 nuts, 1 flat washer and 1 lock washer with the insulator. The nuts each have 8 equidistant marks on them.
5 o'clock bolt has "K A R" with 4 small bars around. Plus 1 nut with some marks, and 2 lock washers, 1 larger than the 2nd.
The very center shaft piece has some printing, but hard to read all of it. Can read "made in U.S.A."
There is also what appears to be a small "3" to the right of the Delco-Remy logo. The case was spray painted silver at some point. Previous owner sanded away the paint over the numbers, leaving a few scratches. I cleaned up the nuts and bolts.

Thanks .. I've also seen big prices on '69 alternators, especially the 884 and 825, but had never seen a 882. I understand there are also restamps ... so I was a little hesitant about this, until I talked to the seller, and he assured me it was original.
