Default think I found a correct alternator need to make sure the date will work etc... please

My 68 is a fairly early 68 built car inside the door jam on the drivers side it is dated D07 I think that means Nov. 7th of 1967? I guess this is the date I match parts up to?

Ok well I found a alternator that is correct for a 68 427/390 4sp the model number is 1100693 which is a 37A model.

the alternator is dated 7K2 which I believe says Oct./ 2/ 1967

is this a good match for my car?
if it is a match is it a REALLY good match date wise or what?

here are some pics the guy wants $75 for it
thanks!

If "L" is Dec, then "K" is Nov..........................
PS: Buy some books, all give date codes for the specific years..............

That's an excellent match. "K" on an electrical component is October - all STAMPED dates on electrical components skipped the "I" character, all RAISED cast-in date codes on castings used the "I" character.

2-6 weeks is "typical", but NCRS allows up to six months for full credit.
