Default 1970 LT Convertible Value

Hi All
A Friend of mine bought a 1970 LT1 two top
Convertible from a late Friends wife a few years ago.
The car is a red with red interior black convertible top
red hard top, an/fm, base interior, no power steering no power breaks. The car needs a complete Restoration
but appears to be mostly there. We were wondering what you all think it is worth now / when restored.
He is planing on doing a NCRS type Restoration.
He has professional maniacal training. We will probity start on the car later this year.Just looking for your thoughts. Thanks
Michael

Run the numbers on it and do your homework. Get as much documentation from the previous owner as you can obtain. Genuine, documented LT-1 convertibles bring five figure prices.

Without a better description of current condition and some pictures it is tought to tell.

A fully restored LT1 convertible with matching numbers is probably worth $30-$35K if properly restored. If you want to know what it is worth as it sits deduct the cost of the restoration and bottom out at about $15K if it is all there and runs OK.

Your friend had "professional maniacal training"?!?!?!? He must have, to "A"-Buy a Vette in the first place and "B"-- want to sink more money into it to restore it!!! Then once he starts that he will need a "nut house" for his living quarters!!!!!!

Add me to the list for the 30-35k fully restored and correct 70 LT1

Try closer to 50-60k or more for Top Flight car!

I wouldn't consider taking less than $30K for my 70 LT-1 vert. It's a numbers matching undocumented driver and far from an NCRS car.
