Bought all my chrome piceces flash chrome from them but on their site it doesn't say triple plated vs flash chrome on their distributor/ignition shields....wanted to know before I order one what it is.

I believe they're all triple chrome plated, unless something has changed in the past few years.

I had one of their repro's on my 69 BB. It was triple chrome. Found a pretty nice original at Carlisle, which was flash chromed. Have it on the car now. Sold the repro.

Chuck

thanks for the heads up chuck, let me ask you this besides it being triple plated was there any other way that it stood out as a repo or did it look just like the original just triple plated?

also you know of anywhere that sells them in flash chrome?

The originals have the "draw lines" from when the part was formed. Those lines are on both the main piece and the top cover.

The triple chrome repro is as smooth as a baby's bottom. Chuck

The pull lines, or lines/slight grooves in the metal from where the metal was stretched when put through a punch press.

You see them at all the corners. Chuck

hey, I went and looked at what your talking about and yeah it's pretty easy to see them.

I have those lines on my oil pan and I always wondered how they managed to scrape the oil pan there! haha but there draw lines it's kinda weird the ones you can see the most are towards the CENTER of the oil pan tho. but they appear to be the same lines like the shielding has.

learn something new about every time I get on here lol
