Default which air cleaner cover/lid is the right one off paragon for my 68?

They have several for 68's none really say for bb or whatever guess I can measure but then who knows if mines been replaced yanno.

car = 68 427/390 vert manual

going with the flash chrome one with the silk screening on it like the original

That's the one you need. I still have my original and it has the silk screening intact. It's gotten a bit rusty over the years but I'm keeping it for reference. I replaced it with a similar reproduction but didn't spring for the silk screening for the underside. One of these days I'll buy the correct lid with silk screened instructions.

yeah mine seems to be the original (has the silk screening) and looks OK but has a bit of pitting and your never going to correct that so new one is the way to go I guess.

but on paragons site last I looked it just said like for 68 with 14 1/2 diameter, just wanted to make sure mine hasn't been replaced with a small block one (highly doubt it tho)

so wanted to assure what diameter a bb 390hp one should have

The diameter is the same for SB or BB. The difference for the 427/390 HP is in the base. The tube for the PCV fresh air line is angled a bit differently for the BB than for the SB. The lids are the same diameter.

o ok well that shouldn't be a problem all i am after is the chrome cover. thanks
